For the first time, 12 teams will compete in the tournament, an expansion from the previous 10-team format. The Netherlands are making their Women's T20 World Cup debut, having qualified through the regional qualifying process for the landmark 10th edition of the competition.
A Captains' carnival was held at Waterloo Bridge in London on June 7, bringing all 12 team skippers together for a promotional event ahead of the tournament opener. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead the hosts into the first match against Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12.
