Did Trump's NBA Finals attendance really cancel Knicks watch parties?

Donald Trump's planned attendance at Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs is already, in itself, expected to cause headaches for anyone heading out to Madison Square Garden (MSG).

As it turns out, the U.S. president's attendance at the game might shuffle the deck in a frustrating fashion for anyone around the game, too. Conflicting reports on social media have claimed that the Knicks are canceling watch parties around MSG in addition to "enhanced security measures" for Trump. Talk about a potential massive buzzkill for New Yorkers who just want to watch a huge game with community in relative proximity to MSG, whether it's at the arena or not.

However, at the time of this writing, any reports of Knicks watch party cancellations are unfounded. According to Ian Begley of SNY, there is no concrete decision just yet on whether or not to allow watch parties around MSG to take place:

Of course, to be clear, these cancellations, thanks to Trump's attendance, still could take place. For now, it's important we note that they haven't happened. At least not yet.
