Will Howard wasn't on the field for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ long history of dealing with Myles Garrett, but he understands what the trade means inside the AFC North.
The Steelers backup quarterback commented on the Cleveland Browns sending Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams.

“Not bad for us,” Howard told 93.7 The Fan at Bank of America's Golf with Us event. “We don't have to play that beast twice every year.”
That is probably how plenty of people in Pittsburgh feel. Garrett has been one of the NFL’s most disruptive defenders for years, and the Steelers no longer have to build two game plans per season around keeping him away from their quarterback.
Howard didn’t dismiss what Cleveland got back. The Browns added Jared Verse, a young, explosive pass rusher who poses a new set of issues.
“But they're bringing in a great player in Jared Verse,” Howard said. “So, it's gonna create more challenges, but just looking at it, it'll be nice to not have to play that dude twice a year.”

Cleveland may still have a dangerous defensive piece, but Pittsburgh won’t complain about seeing Garrett far less often.
