Who does Alabama softball play in Women's College World Series semifinal?

OKLAHOMA CITY — Alabama softball is still rolling, and the Crimson Tide now has its sights set on Texas Tech with a spot in the Women’s College World Series championship series within reach.

Alabama will face Texas Tech in the semifinal round at 6 p.m. CT Monday, June 1, on ESPN and, if necessary, at 8:30 p.m. CT. The Crimson Tide needs one win to advance to the Women's College World Series championship, while Texas Tech would need to win twice to knock Alabama out and advance.

The No. 1 seed Crimson Tide stayed unbeaten in Oklahoma City with a 5-1 win over No. 4 seed Nebraska on Saturday, May 30, at Devon Park.

Marlie Giles gave Alabama early control with a three-run homer in the first inning, then drove in another run on a sacrifice fly in the third. Jena Young helped put the game further out of reach with an RBI single in the fourth, and Jocelyn Briski led the way in the one-hitter performance.
