As the superstar of the Oklahoma City Thunder, back-to-back MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has plenty of responsibilities. He needs to perform at his peak level almost every game, especially when his teammates are not matching his production.

That was the case in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Despite some glaring issues with the roster, it seems SGA will take a more passive approach, as he wants general manager Sam Presti to do what he does best.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander wants Sam Presti to do what he does best in the offseason

Throughout his career as an NBA executive, Presti has made some amazing moves. He managed to trade for Paul George in 2017 to pair with Russell Westbrook, which made them a top team again.

He was also the mastermind behind how George's time in OKC ended, as he traded for Gilgeous-Alexander and a ton of draft assets. That set them up to become NBA champions in 2025, and they are likely contenders for a long time.

Now that the Thunder's season is over earlier than expected, it is time for the front office to reflect on the roster. While injuries did play a role in the Thunder's loss, there might be moves they could make to improve further.

Trades have already been thrown around, but SGA won't be part of those plans. Presti will be in charge as he knows how to build a title-winning roster.

"I will give zero input. I will let Sam Presti, the greatest GM ever, do his job," Gilgeous-Alexander said about the franchise's offseason plans.

It is a good point because Presti has always stepped up to the plate and proved that he can make the Thunder better. He has pulled off some good moves with the current roster, like landing Jared McCain and Alex Caruso in team-friendly trades, among others.

Moving forward, Presti's decisions in the offseason could make or break this Thunder team. Thankfully for Shai and the rest of the Thunder organization, Presti has a good track record.
