Report: Milan fans plotting anti-Cardinale protests in Times Square, New York

Reports in Italy suggest that certain Milan supporters are plotting a series of protests against club owner Gerry Cardinale in Times Square and in other New York-based media outlets.

Frustrated Milan supporters planning protests in the USA

Rossoneri supporters have been left angered by the team’s failure to qualify for the Champions League for the second season in a row and the instability that has plagued the club’s senior management team as a result.

There are concerns among supporters about the fact that it is now June and the club has no head coach, sporting director, technical director nor CEO in place after sacking Massimiliano Allegri, Igli Tare, Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani the day after the 2025-26 season ended.

According to Tuesday’s reports, Milan supporters intend to make their frustrations heard, and are keen to take their protests to the United States, where Cardinale is based full-time. There will, of course, be plenty of eyes on the USA this summer given the influx of fans that will be arriving for the 2026 World Cup.

According to reports across various outlets, a section of Milan supporters are hoping to purchase advertising space in one of New York’s most iconic destinations, Times Square, and are planning to display the message: ‘Save Milan, Cardinale Out’.

There have also been suggestions that Rossoneri supporters could buy advertising space in some leading US media outlets as well, including in the New York Times and on television network CBS.

According to Calciomercato.com, these are the plans being put forward by the President of the Milan Club Valle Telesina, who has also been in contact with most of the club’s other organised supporter groups, including the Curva Sud, the AIMC, the Old Clan and Milan Club New York.
