Looking back, the Texas Rangers are the last team to win a World Series not named the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, since winning it all in 2023, they have failed to even make it back to the postseason.

But things are looking different this year. The starting rotation is doing well, while the offense just got a boost with Wyatt Langford returning to the lineup after missing 39 games with a forearm strain.
They have clawed their way back to a respectable 32-33 record, but it could have been a lot worse if not for the week they had against the St. Louis Cardinals and Cleveland Guardians.

Rangers claim the week's biggest jump as a stellar bullpen leads the way
The Rangers took care of the Cardinals, winning the series 2-1 on the road. Then, after returning home, they beat the Guardians 2-1 in the series as well.

With this, Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter gave them the biggest jump in his latest power rankings. They went from No. 19 to No. 10, thanks in part to a terrific bullpen down the stretch.
"The Rangers are 7-2 in their last nine games and looking to climb above the .500 mark since they were 14-13 on April 25. One of the biggest surprises in baseball has been their patchwork bullpen sitting fourth in the majors with a 3.16 ERA after looking like a major issue heading into the year. Jacob Latz and Jakob Junis have been a dynamic one-two punch."
Their bullpen was a question mark at the start of the season, but the stable of arms has been rather impressive this year. They have been nails toward the end of games, thanks to the help of Latz and Junis.
Texas will need these bullpen arms to continue to show out if they want to continue their trend of rising in the power rankings and comfortably get over the .500 mark.
