Micah Parsons seems earmarked to miss the first month of the season, while on the Physically Unable to Perform list, but Packers head coach Matt LaFleur isn’t worried.
As Parsons works his way back from the torn ACL he suffered last season, and has yet to take the field, LaFleur is encouraged by the All-Pro edge rusher’s progress, so far.

“From my eyes, he looks pretty good,” LaFLeur told reporters recently.

Before getting injured in Week 15 last season, Parsons produced 12.5 sacks, including some timely quarterback hits, pressures, and sacks in key moments of victories over the Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, and other Packers victories, underscoring the value that Green Bay paid in sending the Dallas Cowboys two first-round picks in a blockbuster trade to acquire him last summer.
While Green Bay still is in search of the right combination of edge rushers to make up for Parson’s disruptive production as he works his way back, it is encouraging that LaFleur doesn’t foresee any setbacks for Parsons, at this stage of his rehab and recovery.
