Myles Garrett keeping no-trade clause in his contract with Rams

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a trade for NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett. The Rams and Browns weren't the only two parties who had to agree to the trade. Garrett did, too.

He agreed to the move by waiving the no-trade clause he had negotiated into his current deal.

Garrett, one of the highest-paid non-QBs in the NFL, is now tied to the Rams until 2030. According to Adam Schefter, Garrett will also keep his no-trade clause, meaning the Rams will be unable to trade Garrett unless he signs off on the move.

Considering the Rams moved Jared Verse in order to make this deal happen, and that the Rams attempted to find a trade partner for Davante Adams just one year after Adams signed with the team, more players could be looking to implement no-trade clauses in their negotiations with the franchise, especially when one looks at the team's tenacity to utilize the trade market.

Regardless, the only way Garrett departs from the Rams is either of his own doing or if the Rams opt to release him.
