Former Bayern Munich winger and current Galatasaray attacker Leroy Sané had the game winning goal in Germany’s 2-1 victory over the USMNT.
Afterward, the veteran sounded confident that his squad is ready to make some noise at the World Cup.

“We all get along very, very well – and we’re looking forward to the tournament. The atmosphere in the team is excellent, and everyone is pulling in the same direction. We want to get off to a good start and get three points on Sunday. We have to be fully focused – we’re going to attack,” Sané said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Sané was in Julian Nagelsmann’s starting XI for Germany because of an injury to Bayern Munich phenom Lennart Karl. Sané said that he did not like to see the young talent go down with a tournament-ending muscle tear.
“Lenny’s injury hurts. I’m incredibly sorry for him; he’s a great guy, a fantastic footballer. I wish him all the best,” Sané said.
