President Donald Trump will soon be watching the NBA finals and cheering for NY alongside thousands of other Knicks fans at the Garden in a few hours. However, his attendance has not exactly ignited the same level of excitement in everyone.
The POTUS attending the game has led to extensive security measures, as expected, with a watch party outside the garden being cancelled by the NYPD. Watch parties have been a longstanding tradition for Knicks fans, especially in this campaign, considering their team is doing so well at the moment. And the cancellation has faced tremendous backlash, including a word of criticism by none other than Morgan Freeman.

Many have been siding with Freeman’s opinion that President Donald Trump clearly does not care about the public, or else he would not have attended the game in the first place. Some are even pointing out that, as a result of Trump’s attendance, the spectators will have to wait for a lot more time to make their way in.
Meanwhile, many others are calling out Freeman for his remarks that he is simply against this move to cancel watch parties just because he is not a Republican. The actor has been a Democrat supporter forever and clearly did not like it when Trump came to power.

Donald Trump Question Side-Stepped By Karl Anthony-Towns
On another note, President Donald Trump’s attendance at Game 3 seems to have an effect on the players who are actually taking part in the finals as well. More recently, Karl Anthony-Towns was asked about his thoughts on the POTUS attending the upcoming matchup against the Spurs, and the baller’s response was truly one of a kind.
“I mean, we’ve got to be desperate for these fans. The fans have earned the right, deserve the right to see Finals basketball be played here at Madison Square Garden. For this to be the first game in a long time that they’ve seen Finals basketball, it’s up to bring it …” Karl Anthony-Towns said.

Karl Anthony-Towns most definitely did not want to even mention President Donald Trump’s name, even though the question that was asked was clearly about the leader of the nation. KA has since then been lavished with praises by fans for cleverly avoiding discussing the POTUS, while others have called him out for not giving enough respect to President Trump.
