Crewe Alexandra have made their first signing of the summer after agreeing a three-year contract with striker Jordan Gibson following his release by Doncaster Rovers.
The 28-year-old left Rovers after two seasons, in which he scored 12 goals in 103 appearances.

He was part of the Doncaster's League Two title-winning campaign in 2024-25 and scored six times as the club comfortably stayed clear of the relegation zone in League One last term, finishing 14th.
The arrival of Gibson, whose deal has the option for an additional year, marks the start of the Alex's summer rebuild following the release of eight players at the end of their contracts and midfielder Max Sanders' move to Notts County.
Six others - Lewis Billington, James Connolly, Stan Dancey, Luca Moore, Fin Roberts and Conor Thomas - are all still all considering their futures after being offered new deals.
