New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson took his first tackle of the season, and it wasn’t from who you would expect. The running back collided with comedian Matt Rife during Drake Maye’s “Mayeday” charity softball game on Sunday.
Rife was caught between first and second base in a rundown. He eventually took off for second base and ran into Stevenson, who tried to avoid the comedian during the play. However, Stevenson's leg bent back awkwardly, and he fell to the ground as Rife collided into him.

It was a fun moment in the aftermath, but the Patriots' running back was fortunate that he wasn't legitimately injured on the play.
It’s safe to say that competitive spirit brings out the best in everybody, even if it’s for charity.
Thankfully, Stevenson wasn't hurt during the incident, and Rife doesn't have to carry the guilt from injuring the Patriots' starting running back in a charity softball game.
