Pewter Report shared comments from Jacob Parrish as the second-year defensive back continues working in multiple roles throughout Tampa Bay's offseason program.
After primarily making his impact as a nickel defender during his rookie season, Parrish revealed that his workload has been split between outside cornerback and nickel responsibilities during OTAs.

According to Parrish, the split has been close to 50-50. In Tampa Bay's base defensive packages, he has primarily lined up at outside cornerback. When the Buccaneers move into nickel formations, however, he shifts back inside to play the slot role, where he saw much of his action last season.
That flexibility could prove valuable for a Buccaneers secondary that continues to sort through multiple personnel combinations heading into training camp. With players competing for snaps both outside and inside, the ability to handle multiple assignments increases Parrish's value within Todd Bowles' defense.
Parrish was asked about the uncertainty surrounding exactly where players will line up once the season begins. Rather than focusing on a specific position, he emphasized his excitement about earning a significant role within the defense.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to play an integral role in the lineup," Parrish said.

The comments suggest the Buccaneers view Parrish as more than just a nickel corner. While he demonstrated his ability to contribute inside as a rookie, Tampa Bay is giving him opportunities to prove he can handle responsibilities on the boundary as well.
As OTAs continue and training camp approaches, one of the more interesting battles in Tampa Bay's secondary may not be whether Parrish can play either position. Instead, it may be determining where the coaching staff believes he can make the biggest impact in 2026.
