Brandon Aiyuk makes it clear what he wants in latest Instagram posts

The Brandon Aiyuk saga has no end in sight. The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver still remains a part of the franchise, even though he hasn't played a game for them since October 2024. He wants out, and they want him gone. San Francisco GM John Lynch is on record saying that Aiyuk has played his last down for the 49ers.

There has never been a doubt about where Aiyuk wants to go. He was dropping hints about playing for the Washington Commanders in 2024 to join his college teammate, quarterback Jayden Daniels, before agreeing to a new contract with the Niners. Less than two months after signing a new contract, Aiyuk tore his ACL and MCL. He was out for the remainder of 2024 and did not play in 2025.

Things fell apart in 2025, with Aiyuk staying away from the team during his rehab and the 49ers voiding some of his guaranteed money. San Francisco believed it could acquire a draft pick for Aiyuk, but no team was taking on that contract for a player who hasn't played in close to two years.

The most recent development in the Aiyuk saga is that the receiver was issued an arrest warrant for a speeding incident outside Levi's Stadium in December.

Well, we've now heard from Aiyuk, and he sent a clear message regarding his future with his latest Instagram posts.
