The young shot-stopper’s profile has risen significantly after making his senior international debut in Hungary’s 2-1 victory over Finland, a match that made him the youngest goalkeeper ever to debut for Hungary’s senior national side.

Now, according to the outlet, the achievement has only strengthened the growing interest surrounding a player who already enjoyed an encouraging season away from Barcelona.

International breakthrough puts Yaakobishvili in demand

After spending the previous campaign on loan at FC Andorra, the goalkeeper has returned to Barcelona with his reputation stronger than ever.

The club still view him as an important prospect and have him under contract until 2028.

According to the outlet, before any final decision is made regarding his future, Hansi Flick is expected to take a close look at the goalkeeper during pre-season preparations.

However, the fact of the matter is that the current situation at Barcelona means first-team opportunities remain difficult to guarantee.

As things stand, Joan Garcia will continue as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
