La Liga giants Barcelona are considering a summer swoop for up-and-coming American youngster Neil Pierre.
This comes amid ongoing efforts on the part of Deco and co. to bring in young talent to be developed, with a view to future first-team prospects.

Pierre, for his part, is an 18-year-old defender, who chiefly operates in a central role.
The stopper spent the 2nd half of this past season plying his trade in Denmark with Lyngby, on loan from parent club Philadelphia Union.
And Pierre went on to play an important role for his temporary employers, chipping in with a head-turning four goals in ten league appearances as Lyngby were promoted to the top tier of Danish football.
With such impressive exploits comes inevitable outside interest, with one club to have had their attentions piqued coming in the form of Barcelona.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:
‘FC Barcelona are closely monitoring Neil Pierre,’ with a view to a potential summer proposal for the American’s signature.
