Auburn faces NC State in the Auburn Regional on Saturday: Live updates

Auburn baseball enters Saturday's competition at the Auburn Regional needing a win to keep its season alive.

The Tigers outscored Milwaukee 8-3 over the final 5 1/2 innings, but it was not enough to overcome the 10-0 deficit Milwaukee built through three innings, leading to Auburn's 13-8 loss to the Milwaukee Panthers on Friday. The Tigers will aim to right the ship on Saturday to advance to day three of the Auburn Regional.

Auburn will face NC State on Saturday, which lost to UCF, 9-3, in a game that started Friday night and concluded Saturday morning. A quartet of players logged multiple hits in the game, including Chris McHugh, who recorded the Wolfpack's only extra-base hit of the game with a double in the 1st inning. However, NC State could not dampen UCF's power as 7 of UCF's 9 runs were scored on home runs. Andrew Williamson hit two home runs for the Knights en route to a 3-for-4 game.
